A Timeless Chicago History Museum Wedding
A Timeless Chicago History Museum Wedding
Designing florals for a wedding is always a joy, but when it's for a sorority sister like Kendall, it becomes truly special. Kendall and Mike's wedding at the Chicago History Museum blended elegance, timeless beauty, and heartfelt moments. We're thrilled to share the details of their unforgettable day with you!
Lush Gardens and the Perfect Wedding Atmosphere
Nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park, just steps from the lake and a short ride from downtown, the Chicago History Museum provided the perfect backdrop for Kendall and Mike’s wedding. Despite the July heat, the ceremony space was perfectly shaded for a summer afternoon, with a gentle breeze adding to the atmosphere. The lush gardens set the stage for a ceremony, with an air of effortless chicness that perfectly matched the couple's vision.
Classic, romantic ceremony florals with a nod at the building architecture
The ceremony took place in the museum's beautiful gardens, where the floral color palette of blush and white blended beautifully with the surrounding pinnacle hydrangeas. We crafted a backdrop with our urns perfectly matching the architecture of the building adorned with roses and hydrangeas. It was a stunning focal point for Kendall and Mike as they exchanged their vows. The ambiance was pure romance and the love between Kendall and Mike was palpable to all in attendance.
Timeless, chic bridal party attire
Kendall and her bridesmaids looked effortless and timeless, with Kendall radiating beauty in her wedding gown. Her bridesmaids wore sleek black dresses, adding a touch of sophistication and contrast to the soft floral palette. The groomsmen complemented this timeless look in black suits, creating a cohesive and elegant aesthetic.
Instead of traditional corsages, the mothers of the bride and groom held adorable white rose posies. This simple yet meaningful gesture added a personal touch that honored their roles in the celebration.
Mixing high and low centerpieces to create a beautiful reception
As guests moved inside for the reception, they were greeted by the historic charm of the Chicago History Museum. The venue’s black-and-white checkered floors and bright walls provided a stunning backdrop for our floral designs. We combined lush compotes with towering skyscraper arrangements to create visual interest and variety. The rose and hydrangea centerpieces were a timeless complement to the elegant surroundings, adding a touch of classic beauty to the historic space.
We blended high and low floral arrangements, creating dynamic visual moments for the guests to enjoy. The combination of lush, low compotes and dramatic, tall arrangements added depth and dimension to the reception decor.
We were honored to travel to Chicago for Kendall and Mike’s wedding, demonstrating our commitment to bringing our client’s visions to life, no matter where their love story takes them. This wedding was a beautiful reminder of the joy we find in creating floral designs that celebrate unique love stories.
