Not sure where to start when booking a wedding venue?

Before you start scheduling tours and firing off emails, start with some research! We recommend looking for these two very important things – Look at pictures and read the reviews!

Pictures may seem obvious, but there are several things to consider when looking through venue galleries. First, start on their website and then search the venue’s name to find blogs and features of previous events held there. Next, head to Instagram and look at both their posts and posts they are tagged in. This will give you a wide variety of imagery not only from the venue itself but from wedding couples and guests!

When looking at the photos also think about how the space has been enhanced. What don’t you like about space? What would you want to highlight? And reflect on if those enhancements align with your budget.

Next, read the reviews! Check out Google, WeddingWire, The Knot, etc. This will help you narrow down which venues are the best fit for you and your unique vision.
